Crafting the EPK for The Feud: A Behind-the-Scenes Look

When I was approached by Lonesome Pine to create the Electronic Press Kit for their new drama The Feud, I knew it was a unique opportunity to tell a story beyond the scripted narrative. My role was to direct, shoot, and edit the entire EPK—a project that required me to capture the essence of the production while maintaining an intimate, behind-the-scenes perspective.

I wanted to create more than just a typical press kit; I aimed to showcase the creative energy and commitment of the cast and crew. Using handheld cameras and natural light, I captured candid moments on set, revealing the real personalities behind the characters and the raw, unfiltered emotions of the team.

The editing process was equally challenging. It involved distilling hours of footage into a concise, engaging story that represented the heart of the drama. My goal was to craft a behind-the-scenes look that complemented the high-stakes themes of loyalty and betrayal present in The Feud.

This project not only honed my technical skills but also reaffirmed my passion for narrative-driven filmmaking. Collaborating with Lonesome Pine has opened up new opportunities, and I’m excited for what’s next.

The Culture Spring Campaign

For the Culture Spring, I produced and directed an award-winning film that was instrumental in securing £1.2 million in Arts Council funding for investment in North East creative projects. Collaborating with high-profile figures such as Peter Salmon and the acclaimed band The Futureheads, I developed a concept that celebrated the transformative power of arts and culture in the region.

The film showcased the vitality of the local creative community, blending strong storytelling with captivating visuals to underline the impact of cultural engagement on individuals and neighborhoods. This project not only played a crucial role in the successful funding application but also earned accolades for its creativity and influence, solidifying my commitment to creating meaningful and socially impactful content.

No Ordinary Life

Tim Goodill has just finished co-producing and directing ‘No Ordinary Life’ following the success of his last film.

No Ordinary Life begins in the 80’s and is set in Bradford. The film is about the challenges faced by the immigrants who moved to Bradford from India. Underneath the film is about identity and how the perceptions of identity have to change for people from different cultural backgrounds to come together.

The screenplay for No Ordinary Life was written by the best selling novelist AA Dhand. It’s been a fantastic journey directing this film that is a personal, emotive look at integration, community and friendship. I feel a great deal of pride to be part of this.
